Council on Child Safety and Family Empowerment

The Council on Child Safety and Family Empowerment was created to align, leverage and coordinate faith based and community resources to solve challenges faced by our most vulnerable children and families within the child welfare system and to provide additional support to strengthen families that are caring for both foster and adopted children.

Prevention Committee

Build working resources and initiatives for children and families struggling with the issues of addiction and poverty.  Helping families get well.

Partnerships Committee

Build strength for those serving vulnerable children and families through the creation of new, stronger community networks of care.

Outreach Committee

Create ways to activate the entire community in meeting the needs of foster care youth and families, and raise the awareness of the child welfare needs statewide.

Support Committee

Lead the Council and community members in creating practical ways to help with the needs of children and families in the Foster Care system.  This is the “Stuff of Life” team.
